Some screaming sounds and distant chatter forced him to open eyes. Lazily he stretched the body. Suddenly, all the 200 joints in his body have crepitated. Only the next day we'll understand how badly we drank. For a second, he thought it was a nightmare, but he was at the police station in reality too. What was he doing here? Why did he come here? Before he recollect, a police came in and took him to the interrogation room, and left him alone.

No one was in the room, it had only two chairs and a table with a water can in a corner. He waited for over an hour. Then a beefy barrel-chested police tramped in. His heart started beating faster when the police came closer. He wasn't sure why he was so fearful. It would be either out of his personality or job.

The moment when the police came close to him, he understood that he misinterpreted him. The police inquired about his details in a polite and soft tone. He felt certainly, there was no relation between his personality and him. He tried reading the name on his nameplate pinned to the uniform, which was stated as ‘Sohit Sheyank’.

After gathering the details, Sohit started counseling. “See Dhruv, you are an educated grown-up man. I understand people can’t control their anger in some situations. But, you can’t kill someone like this.”

Dhruv muttered in shock, “What? I killed..? I don’t know what you are talking about. I don’t even understand how I’m here”. Sohit maintaining his patience said, “A water boy came to your flat to deliver the water can and observed a blood-drenched hand through the half-opened door and immediately it came into our notice, where you’re lying beside the deceased with a knife in your hand. So being a prime suspect, you are here now. Now, tell me why did you kill her.”

He stammered in confusion and fear that he didn’t kill anyone and didn’t even understand what he was talking about.

Sohit yelled, “If I break your bones, you will understand everything” and left the room.

Dhruv understood that these people are trying to frame him in order to cover up some murder.
